Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor jobs in Columbus, GA

The plant maintenance supervisor will be tasked with directing and managing all maintenance of entire plant equipment with the responsibility for maintenance, and supervising employees while maintaining a safety culture environment.

What you will do:

• Establish and maintain a culture that supports safe work practices
• Plan and direct daily maintenance activities to meet production goals
• Implement and monitor maintenance procedures to maximize plant efficiencies
• Coordinate maintenance projects, service work and repairs to ensure proper utilization and maintenance of all equipment so that costs are minimized, and all equipment is available when needed
• Report, monitor and track maintenance activities
• Other duties as required

What you need:

• Able to work night shift - 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. EST 
• Working knowledge of screening process and gradations/conveyor systems/speed reducers
• Working knowledge of slurry pumps and cyclones
• Working knowledge of crushing equipment - Jaw/Cone Crushers
• Working knowledge of operating mobile equipment - i.e. crane/man-lift/loaders
• Working knowledge of fabrication along with welding and cutting experience
• Must have the ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in supervising subordinates
• 3 years of Supervisory experience/leadership experience required
• Working knowledge of aggregate maintenance and processes required
• Familiarity with production, equipment, maintenance
• Proficient knowledge of MSHA safety requirements preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Self-motivated, ability to motivate a team
