Documents equipment status and maintenance processes. Requires a high school diploma or technical school training. Typically reports to a manager. The Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Plant Watchperson
Alaska Power & Telephone is hiring for a part time Plant Watchperson in Northway, Alaska. This position will be responsible for daily plant visits to monitor the facility and record information. This includes monthly meter reads and fuel dips, meter reading and possibly changing oil on the engines. Candidate will need to be available to advise Tok power crew of the outages and assist with power outages if requested to do so, day or night.
