Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor is responsible for the operations of a power generation plant during an assigned shift. Prepares work plans and worker assignments. Being a Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor oversees the work of operating staff and trains new employees. Coordinates plans for service interruption, maintenance, repair, installation and overhauls. Additionally, Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor ensures all safety protocols are followed. Documents equipment status and maintenance processes. Requires a high school diploma or technical school training. Typically reports to a manager. The Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. - Routinely complete 5S audit and conduct routine safety walks to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure accurate and objective information when conducting staff selections, development, performance reviews, and/or terminations.
- Ensure that work schedules are correctly processed and implemented as well as that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
- Review and process paid time off requests in a fair, accurate, and timely manner.
- Manage labor hours in accordance with local, state, and federal labor laws as well as Kuehne Nagel Policy.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and follows OSHA, MSDS, and Kuehne Nagel QSHE standards.
- Provide customer value by resolving warehouse related issues at or above the customers expectations.
- Interpret and enforce company policy in a fair and consistent manner.
- Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation.
- Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories.
