CRC’s Elk Hills Power Team is seeking to fill a Power Plant Operator (Power and Steam Generation) position in our Tupman, CA location. The starting base wage for this posted position is reasonably expected to range from $36 - $58 per hour, with a target annual bonus opportunity of 10% of wages paid. Your actual level and base salary, however, will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

• 
  High School Diploma or GED with excellent mechanical and electrical repair skills
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with boiler and cooling tower water chemistry
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting gas turbine and steam turbine generators.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple disciplines
• Must be able to properly and safely wear all required PPE such as safety glasses, hard hat, steel toed shoes, supplied-air respirator, etc.
• Must have the ability to pull water samples and analyze water samples
• Must have the ability to walkdown all plant equipment and record readings
• Must have the ability to perform minor maintenance on equipment
• Must be able to make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed
• Must have the ability to properly facilitate the LOTO system
• Must be able to communicate any abnormal plant conditions to the control room operator
• Must have a good understanding of the CEMS and proper protocols for reporting
• Must have Valid Driver’s License & clean DMV record
• Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds and climb stairs and/or ladders.
