    Salary: $27.00 - $32.50/hr

    Bonus: 10%

    Hours: 12 hour rotating DuPont schedule

    Benefits: PTO, Health, 401k

    Relocation: Case by case basis

    Job Description:

    • Performs shift operations tasks including start-up and shutdown of equipment.
    • Maintains shift operating logs and records and performs routine chemical testing.
    • Performs electrical and mechanical inspections, trouble-shooting, repair and maintenance tasks.
    • Reads and records instruments/transmitters/gauges and meters.
    • Assists in developing standard procedures for operations and maintenance.
    • Implements safe working habits, identifies hazards and takes corrective actions, as approved by the Shift Supervisor, Control Room Operator, or other plant management.
    • Becomes system expert on assigned plant systems.
    • Studies to become qualified as a Control Room Operator and/or Maintenance Technician.
    • May also qualify (become qualified) to work as an Assistant Plant Operator (loading ash, cleaning ash handling equipment, driving a wheeled loader and bulldozer, and operating plant’s fuel and limestone handling and preparation equipment) as O&M Technicians must sometimes fill-in for Assistant Plant Operators.
    • Work schedule is rotating shifts, and successful candidate must be available for emergency call-ins, and for temporary assignments to assist mechanics in the maintenance department.
