Power Industry Support, LLC is actively recruiting a Plant Manager for the Hat Creek Bioenergy, LLC renewable energy powerplant located in Burney, CA to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. The facility is currently under construction for planned Commercial Operation Date in June 2024, so the hiring company is looking for a foundational manager that can come on board and work with the engineering team and suppliers to develop operating procedures, hire operating staff, and participate in the startup and commissioning of the plant.
The Hat Creek Bioenergy facility is a community-scale 3 MW biomass gasification to energy system utilizing forest sourced feedstock. It will be the first commercial deployment of an innovative gasification system that integrates a horizontally positioned rotary gasifier based off a torrefaction reactor, a thermal oxidizer and an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology in place of an internal combustion engine. The technology is expected to overcome important challenges with the use of forest-sourced wood, including environmental compliance and operating challenges that are hindering large scale bioenergy projects.
We are looking for an experienced Plant/Project Manager with a solid background in project management, commissioning and exposure to biomass fuel operations. This position must commit to being present and active during construction through commissioning to provide project management support for Senior Leadership.
