Monitors and coordinates generation and interchange according to contracts and pooling arrangements. Being a Power Scheduler Sr. schedules all power purchases and sales with other utilities. Maintains logs documenting all relevant operating information, problems and issues. Additionally, Power Scheduler Sr. requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Job Summary: Provides complete scheduling services for CaroMont Health. This encompasses knowledge of all procedures and the ability to schedule these accurately, while obtaining accurate patient information and medical necessity. Schedulers must have knowledge of insurance and are required to obtain policy ID numbers and authorizations for certain procedures. Must provide accurate data entry to insure optimal reimbursement for these procedures.
Qualifications: High school or equivalent plus 1 year clerical experience, preferably in medical related area. In lieu of 1 year experience will accept Associate Degree. Must possess excellent communication skills with knowledge of computers and above average typing skills. Must possess sufficient knowledge of medical and technical terms used in scheduling, above average typing skills, excellent customer service skills and telephone manner. Must possess knowledge of computers, knowledge of insurance and medical necessity.
