Senior Purchasing Agent

Lithion Battery Inc. is a new venture located in Henderson, NV with exciting growth opportunities. Lithion Battery is a vertically integrated manufacturer of cells and rechargeable battery packs servicing the Medical, Energy, Robotics, Industrial, and Military/Defense markets. Lithion Battery works closely with OEM manufacturers and end users to provide custom and high-quality power solutions for critical applications where reliability is paramount. Our expansion has been secured with the support of the Lithion Power Group Ltd.’s executive team and its private equity partner.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Purchasing Agent. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your sharp negotiation skills to secure the best deals for our company. You will be responsible for researching potential vendors, negotiating pricing, and managing the entire purchase process. You will also need to maintain strong working relationships with our vendors to ensure a continuous supply of goods. Key Responsibilities & Tasks

• Work closely with engineering on new product introductions in support of prototype and production material needs
• Identify and source electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors, and other PCBA materials from a network of reliable suppliers.
• Research to obtain new products, suppliers and services to support the business.
• Competitively quote and source goods and services, domestically and internationally
• Monitor and track performance of suppliers
• Manage and track purchase orders to meet production deadlines
• Negotiate and manage contracts for vendors, suppliers, and service providers
• Resolve any payment and delivery issues
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Monitor production inventory levels and place Purchase Orders to support replenishment
• Write and present reports on purchasing activity
• Support inventory management and control
• Ensure compliance with company regulations and legal requirements
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a purchasing role
• Prior experience with purchasing battery or electrical purchasing, PCBA’s and related components a plus
• Ability to read and understand blue prints and product Bill of Materials.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks accordingly
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to negotiate and close deals.
• Knowledge of global sourcing and supply chain processes
• Understanding of current market trends and pricing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
