Actalent is hiring an Aerospace/DoD Power Electronics Engineer for a large Defense company located around Buffalo, NY. An active clearance is NOT needed for the job but candidate must be eligible to recieve one. This will be an onsite job that offers a full benefits package. Description:

• Be a leader in a team of creative, independent individuals.
• Contribute to a collaborative and knowledgeable atmosphere where teamwork is fostered
• Contribute to the development of new products through consulting with customers and sales personnel.
• Consult on new product and market development efforts.
• Prepare successful proposal designs and concepts, along with cost and schedule estimates.
• Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses
• Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
• Help with interviewing and mentoring junior engineers.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 10 years of experience with electrical design OR Master of Science Degree in Engineering with 8 years’ of experience with electrical design
• Experienced in designing PCB’s (Spice and Altium)
• Proficient in circuit design, analysis, and testing
• Specialization in power electronics 
• High voltage experience, ideally 400V and higher
• Ideally experience in Aerospace/DoD
• Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance (active clearance NOT required for job)
