Summary:
A supervisor is responsible for leading a small or large group of individuals to complete jobs safety, efficiently, and effectively to meet customer needs. This position is responsible for enforcing safety policies and procedures while maintaining the day-to-day operations as it relates to equipment and business needs. This position is responsible for developing and training employees to be effective within their roles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- In addition to the supervisory duties described below, the Vecta Supervisor will work alongside the technicians as needed on assigned projects and perform any and all similar manual labor required to complete projects on time.
- Oversees all aspects of assigned Vecta projects from start to finish, including managing all costs associated with project to budget.
- Manages logistics of new projects including labor, equipment, and materials. This includes reviewing the job scope, cost estimate, and job walk analysis, and obtaining additional job related information from the appropriate party when necessary.
- Logs receipts for all purchases and turns them in with each completed project book in a timely manner.
- Proficient and safe operation of all Vecta equipment, including but not limited to: generators, electric and diesel diaphragm pumps, cartridge and bag filter cart units, flushing skids, and vacuum dehydrators.
- Ability to install and troubleshoot all Vecta equipment listed above, as well as make field connections to customer supplied equipment or PVF.
- Complete any current or future training and hours of service programs implemented by management for Vecta equipment.
- Ensure the team has all required PPE and equipment prior to beginning the job.
- Communicate changes and job status updates with local leadership and customer representative within area of responsibility.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and lead effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5 years industrial cleaning experience required
- Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record
- TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) Certification. Note: Requirement may be waived by management on case-by-case basis)
- Ability to pass site-specific training classes hosted by HASC, ISTC, or other safety council in order to meet the requirements of on-going or future projects
- Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug screen
