Precision Assembler performs precision assembling, aligning, or adjusting within very tight tolerances. Follows schematics and specification documents to complete measuring, fitting, wiring, and soldering of components to assemble units. Being a Precision Assembler calibrates and tests subcomponents and finished products to ensure quality and functionality. Inspects produced parts for quality assurance, identifies defects and makes adjustments. Additionally, Precision Assembler uses standard hand and power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial calipers. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Precision Assembler works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Cuyahoga Falls is partnering with a Kent-based company specializing in rubber production and is currently seeking a Production Team Builder to join their team.
As a Builder, you will be responsible for crafting custom reinforced inflatable rubber seals based on detailed instructions (spec sheets).
Hours : Standard 10-hour workdays, Monday through Thursday, 6am-4pm, with occasional Fridays and overtime opportunities.
Flexibility : Employees can start anytime within a two-hour window between 4 : 00am-6 : 00am.
Starting Pay : $30,000 yearly
Essential Functions :
- Utilize various tools (scissors, metal rollers, hole punch, etc.).
- Precise measurements (1 / 32 of an inch).
- Cutting, splicing, and joining rubber and fabric components.
- Use chemicals for bonding (Personal Protective Equipment provided).
Competencies :
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong hand-eye coordination.
- Interpret detailed spec sheets.
Work Environment :
- Manufacturing environment with chemical odors.
- Occasional loud noises.
- Elevated temperatures during summer.
Physical Demands :
- Standing for 7 hours per day.
- Mobility as required.
- Tolerance for heat and some chemical odors.
