Precision Assembler performs precision assembling, aligning, or adjusting within very tight tolerances. Follows schematics and specification documents to complete measuring, fitting, wiring, and soldering of components to assemble units. Being a Precision Assembler calibrates and tests subcomponents and finished products to ensure quality and functionality. Inspects produced parts for quality assurance, identifies defects and makes adjustments. Additionally, Precision Assembler uses standard hand and power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial calipers. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Precision Assembler works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     • Accurate and timely order entry and collection process

    • Collect and process laboratory specimens (may include oral, urine, and/or blood specimen collection per policy.) in a manner that improves outcomes for all stakeholders: patient, provider, payer, and laboratory.
    • Collect specimens according to established procedures. Tests include, but not limited to:

    • Biometric Screening, and
    • Insurance Exams

    WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

    Knowledge of:

    • Prior experience a plus!
    • In Depth Knowledge of specimen collection techniques and procedures
    • Advanced understanding of preventing personal exposure to bio-hazards and infection prevention measures
    • Specimen collection protocols
    • In-depth knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment best practices

    Skill:

    • Basic computer literacy (software and hardware) and ability to learn new computer/technology skills
    • Effectively communicate to internal and external clients and patients
    • Compose grammatically correct, professional level written communication
    • Follow checklists and produce the same results every time
    • Maintain accurate files and records

    • Federal regulations, state laws, and agency directives applicable to specimen collection

    Required Certifications and Licenses:

    • Possession of a valid driver's license/Auto insurance (for those that travel between clinics) or alternate means of travel
    • Certifications as may be required for specimen collection
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
    • Prior patient experience a plus (examples may include Specimen collection, phlebotomist, medical assistant, nurse’s aide, healthcare technician, nursing students)
