Precision Assembler jobs in Jamestown, NY
Precision Assembler performs precision assembling, aligning, or adjusting within very tight tolerances. Follows schematics and specification documents to complete measuring, fitting, wiring, and soldering of components to assemble units. Being a Precision Assembler calibrates and tests subcomponents and finished products to ensure quality and functionality. Inspects produced parts for quality assurance, identifies defects and makes adjustments. Additionally, Precision Assembler uses standard hand and power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial calipers. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Precision Assembler works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Use of small hand tools and battery-operated drills and drivers, continual lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs. No experience necessary. Ability to work in fast paced environment is a must! Responsibilities
- Inspection
- Assembly
- Packaging
- Deburring
- Follow Blueprints
- Fasten parts with
- Bolts
- Screws
- Speed clips
- Use hand files and scrapers
- Operate small hand tools and battery-operated drills and drivers
- Continual Lifting, Pushing, Pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Follow directions from supervisors
- Communicate any issues with supervisors
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Must Have Steel Toed Boots
- Must Pass Drug Test
- Must Have Experience
- Must Have High School Diploma/GED
- Metal Manufacturing experience is highly recommended
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Warehouse experience is a bonus
Benefits/Compensation
- Full Time 40 hours a week
- First Shift Available
- Pay Rate is $11.00 per hour
