Precision Assembler performs precision assembling, aligning, or adjusting within very tight tolerances. Follows schematics and specification documents to complete measuring, fitting, wiring, and soldering of components to assemble units. Being a Precision Assembler calibrates and tests subcomponents and finished products to ensure quality and functionality. Inspects produced parts for quality assurance, identifies defects and makes adjustments. Additionally, Precision Assembler uses standard hand and power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial calipers. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Precision Assembler works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.   • Dielectric is hiring a full-time Production Assembler to construct and assemble component parts, building of transmission lines, soldering, and assisting in shipping / receiving of internal or external products.

    The individual responsible will work hands-on with a wide variety of components to build antennas and their respective unique parts.

    Must be familiar with quality standards concepts, practices, and procedures within a manufacturing environment. Must be able to perform a variety of tasks under general supervision with strong problem- solving skills, and the desire to learn.

    Duties and Responsibilities :

    • Work with production specifications and plant data for product assembly
    • Ability to use hand tools / basic power tools including wrenches, drills, and up-cut saws. Ability to operate a manual lathe is a plus for some complex systems.
    • Able to produce a quality product in a safe and timely manner with an awareness of defects before product completion
    • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct problems for product or processes
    • Prepares products for shipping and receiving as directed
    • Able to multi-task
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Experience :

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Knowledge and understanding of RF, TV and FM antenna equipment is a plus, but not required
    • Strong product and safety knowledge is a must
    • Demonstrated organizational & communication skills with attention to detail and understanding of quality criteria
    • Able to work both independently and in a team environment
    • Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities

    Physical Requirements :

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
    • Must be able to operate all equipment safely and within the manufacturers specifications
    • The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel and crouch frequently.

    Able to work at heights using ladders, manlifts, and scissor lifts
