Precision Assembler performs precision assembling, aligning, or adjusting within very tight tolerances. Follows schematics and specification documents to complete measuring, fitting, wiring, and soldering of components to assemble units. Being a Precision Assembler calibrates and tests subcomponents and finished products to ensure quality and functionality. Inspects produced parts for quality assurance, identifies defects and makes adjustments. Additionally, Precision Assembler uses standard hand and power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial calipers. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Precision Assembler works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. The Fabricator/Assembler will report to the Production Manager and will build proprietary diesel and/or electric driven pump units, fabricate custom sheet metal, and perform other mfg related duties as needed. Finished products will be built on fuel skids, DOT trailers, or in sound attenuated enclosures. The ideal candidate will have these skills:
1) Commitment to working safely and supporting a strong safety culture
2) High attention to detail
3) High mechanical aptitude
4) Ability to read and understand engineering prints for layout and assembly
5) Above average problem solving skills
6) Experience with diesel engine controls is highly preferred
7) Good communication skills – written and verbal is a must
