Precision Assembler performs precision assembling, aligning, or adjusting within very tight tolerances. Follows schematics and specification documents to complete measuring, fitting, wiring, and soldering of components to assemble units. Being a Precision Assembler calibrates and tests subcomponents and finished products to ensure quality and functionality. Inspects produced parts for quality assurance, identifies defects and makes adjustments. Additionally, Precision Assembler uses standard hand and power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial calipers. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Precision Assembler works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. An Assembly Technician assembles, verifies, and tests various technical assemblies classified from component builds to fully integrated systems under the approval of engineering and scientific staff by performing the required duties.

Physical Requirements
Occasional need to lift boxes up to 30lbs. Frequent bending, walking, and mobility will be necessary. Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop/bend, and reach. Must be able to lift using proper techniques 25 pounds. Vision must be good with the ability to work with microscopes.
