Precision Assembler performs precision assembling, aligning, or adjusting within very tight tolerances. Follows schematics and specification documents to complete measuring, fitting, wiring, and soldering of components to assemble units. Being a Precision Assembler calibrates and tests subcomponents and finished products to ensure quality and functionality. Inspects produced parts for quality assurance, identifies defects and makes adjustments. Additionally, Precision Assembler uses standard hand and power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial calipers. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Precision Assembler works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Essential Functions
Work Environment
At our cozy manufacturing facility, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to conveyors and vibration. The employee may work with or near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment may be very loud depending on the area you are working in.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of an assembler, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers for fine manipulation. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel; and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Scheduled days and hours of work are as follows:
1st Shift
Monday through Thursday 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Overtime schedule may vary from week to week.
