Precision Grinder operates precision grinding machines to assemble products and product parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications. Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments and grinding machines for grinding angles, contours, lines, and spheres on to surfaces. Being a Precision Grinder requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Precision Grinder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. - Record start and stop time of each grind, as well as the time at which the ground beans will have completed an appropriate gas-off period
- Communicate with roaster and packaging operators regarding progress on daily schedule
- Report all nonconforming product to shift supervisor or quality assurance lab
- Communicate regularly with Scheduler
