About us

We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist, with at least 5 years of experience, to join our team.

Precision Machining, Inc. is searching for experienced craftsman that loves to work with their mind and their hands. Our ideal candidate will find genuine enjoyment from optimizing machining strategies, speeds and feeds, part setup strategies, inspection techniques, and learning more about available tools and equipment to better our abilities hone our skills.

Candidates must be ableto set up and program various tools and equipment to create and inspect precision components down to tenths of thousandths. In this role, you will be using a variety of computer numerical control machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders. During production, you must monitor the machinery and conduct regular quality checks to ensure they are running properly and that the parts are being produced according to specifications. Accuracy is crucial to our production, so all candidates must have a strong attention to detail and be extremely focused on their work.

CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities

• Check CNC machinery is in good working order before set up
• Interpret schematics and CAD drawings, or have the ability to learn
• Set up tools and workholding for jobs
• Perform first piece inspections
• Monitor the run throughout the cycle, checking that specifications are met
• Always follow safety standards
• Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately
• Keep all work areas clean and organized

CNC Machinist Requirements and Qualifications

• Familiarity with calipers and micrometers
• Basic familiarity with G code is recommended, but can me learned on the job
• Ability to do basic math and trigonometry
• Vocational certificate (preferred)
• Positions available for new and experienced machinists

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
