Press Operator - All Widths completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Press Operator - All Widths conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Press Operator - All Widths completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Press Operator - All Widths independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. **Salary: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience**:
The Press Brake Operator at our Smithville-based partner company, in collaboration with Mancan Staffing, plays a vital role in our manufacturing team. This position requires solid press brake operator/set-up skills, significant experience, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to form sheet steel products.
- Ensure production meets quality standards and follows workplace safety protocols.
- Utilize CNC controls and knowledge of bend allowances for precision work.
- Read and understand engineered drawings for accurate forming.
- Maintain own hand tools and lockable toolbox (company provides power tools).
- Collaborate with the team and report to the Shop Supervisor.
- May be required to deliver products to customers.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Manufacturing environment understanding.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and quality standards.
- Familiarity with bend allowances and CNC controls.
- Knowledge of the metric system.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, including tape measure, digital calipers, and sheet metal gauges.
Skills:
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings.
- Experience in setting up press brakes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must have valid driver’s license.

Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Job-related formal training in Press Brake operation and blueprint reading.

- May be required to deliver products to customers.
Working Hours:
- First or second shift, depending on need (advance notice will be given).
Physical/Environmental Hazards:
- Exposure to heavy machinery, welding area, paint area, and noise.
Physical/Cognitive Essential Functions:
- Reading, reasoning, problem-solving.
- Ability to sit, stand, lay on the floor for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity.
- Operation of press brake machine.
- Driving.
Schedule:
- 10-hour shift, 8-hour shift, Monday- Friday with overtime as needed.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred).
Experience:
- CNC laser cutting: 1 year (Preferred).
