Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Press Operator - All Widths conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Press Operator - All Widths completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Press Operator (Union position)
Job Summary: Press Operator tasks: Plate Making, Paper preperation, color setting, registration setting, and quality control of our printed products.
Job Functions: The successful candidate must be a flexible, self-starter, attentive to detail, diplomatic, able to provide direction, and able to multitask. Candidates for this position should have strong interpersonal skills and exhibit an ability to work efficiently as a team member as well as a team leader.
Essential Functions: Working knowledge and proficiency in a safe efficient operation of our printing equipment directly responsible for quality control, able to read follow print request instructions, able to do maintenance on the equipment ranging from preventative maintenance checks, to mechanical repairs, be accountable for waste, working knowledge of fork-lifts and clamp trucks (We will do training). Maintain a safe, clean, productive work area and follow all company, local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to job safety
