Press Operator - All Widths completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Press Operator - All Widths conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Press Operator - All Widths completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Press Operator - All Widths independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. In this role, The Press Operator Lead will ensure the press's efficient operation and uphold work quality standards. This includes performing preventative maintenance, maintaining press cleanliness and organization, overseeing preliminary make ready, conducting final pre-run inspections, and supervising press operation.

What you’ll be doing:- Operate 6-color CD, 12-color perfecting press, or 8-color perfecting press.
- Demonstrate proficiency in setting up and operating the Cut Star roll to sheet system (12-color only).
- Set up press according to job ticket specifications.
- Monitor color density, diagnose color-related issues, and implement corrective measures.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks accurately
- Inspect press sheets for defects using appropriate tools during press runs.
- Operate a forklift as required
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks accurately according to the TPM schedule.
What we are looking for:- Minimum 4 years of multi-color press experience in a similar role.
- Minimum High School Diploma, or GED
- Possess in-depth knowledge of CPC 24, image control, ink temperature controls, densitometers, and spectrophotometer.
- Proficiency in ink mixing and achieving accurate color reproduction during printing.
- Sound comprehension of water-based and UV-Based coating
- Thorough understanding of G7 methodology.
- Effective problem-solving skills when dealing with press-related challenges.
- Strong grasp of prepress processes and ability to create plates if necessary.
