Maize USD 266 is seeking an experienced administrator to lead Hope Learning Center. Hope Learning Center (HLC), a special day school located in Mt. Hope, hosts three programs. They include: Transitional Skills Program (TransNet), Therapeutic Social/Emotional Day School Program, and Interim Alternative Education Setting (IAES).
This Principal serves as the primary administrator and instructional leader of a special education attendance center; establishing and maintaining educational programs in compliance with District objectives; directing the operations of the school site; establishing and maintaining a positive school climate for the learning, behavior, safety, health, and welfare of students and personnel. This is a 12-month position
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Master’s degree from an accredited university and active building leadership license
Special Knowledge/Skills: School and building operations, curriculum and instruction, budgeting, personnel management, implementation of policies and procedures, data interpretation, verbal and written communication, special education
Experience: At least 2 years of building leadership experience
