Summary: Uses a variety of software and print drivers to efficiently produce requests with the use of digital printer/copiers and bindery equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain digital printers/copiers
Uses a variety of print drivers for different print devices
Uses software programs like Free Flow, Fiery, In-Design, Illustrator, Publisher and Acrobat Professional to efficiently layout and produce print requests.
Troubleshoots copiers/printers and is in direct contact with the appropriate repair person as needed.
Box and route completed orders to correct building.
Operate and maintain bindery equipment
Check job orders for accuracy.
Communicate with FPS employees regarding their copy order request.
Assist in creating and maintaining monthly databases on copy counts and additional copy charges for each school.
Sends appropriate charges to Accounts Payable for billing.
Assists in the ordering of necessary supplies from the warehouse and/or outside suppliers to complete work orders.
Provides advice as to layout and design of “camera ready” artwork and digital files.
Assist in paper and supply inventory.
Assists in the development of schedules and deadlines
Track materials, copy requests and maintains inventory records of supplies according to established procedures.
Previews materials for copyright concerns.
Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues and supervisors.
Create and maintain positive communication to the district pertaining to the Print Centers capabilities.
Other duties may be assigned.
Participate in all mandatory training or training appropriate to the position as required by the district.
Qualification Requirements:
Requires background in the printing process and/or operation of printers/copiers in a production setting. Uses software programs like Free Flow, Fiery, In-Design, Illustrator, Publisher and Acrobat Professional to efficiently layout and produce print requests.
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience with the equipment is helpful.
