Print Production Manager oversees the competitive bid and negotiation process with vendors and suppliers that perform print jobs for direct mail, seasonal promotions, sales collateral, and other printed media. Approves print production priorities and schedules, print specifications, and budgets. Being a Print Production Manager advises internal clients on printing projects and recommends cost effective options. Grants final approval on all artwork, copy, formats, mock-ups, and proofs. Additionally, Print Production Manager manages relations with vendors and internal clients. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Print Production Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     Hours: 8 am to 4:30 pm

    Pay Range: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience.

    Job Overview

    Operate & maintain 3D metal printing/ additive manufacturing equipment following a standardized workflow that maximizes part quality, machine up-time, and production throughput.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • 3D printer operations & hardware maintenance.
    • Perform printer maintenance between prints.
    • Raw materials handling – load and unload raw materials and other equipment consumables. 
    • Trouble-shoot and resolve equipment issues.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. 
    • Utilize Lean manufacturing ideals to improve how we do business and perform shipping and receiving.
    • Submit purchase requests to Finance to maintain inventory levels on all necessary parts and/or filters to ensure production is ongoing.
    • Complete required training and maintain certifications.
    • Regularly communicate using Slack and ODL email.
    • Attend mandatory meetings.
    • Promote ODL Core Values by incorporating the mission and mindset into daily tasks.
    • Provide feedback to improve ODL.


    Qualified candidates will have the following: 

    • Excellent verbal communication.
    • Excellent organizational skills. 
    • The ability to multitask.
    • The ability to follow instructions.
    • The ability to operate various printing machines and related software.
    • Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment is a plus.
    • Previous experience operating a 3D metal printer is a plus.
