The Production Manager will be responsible for meeting production forecasts, provide hands-on support and direction to the manufacturing team. The production manager must strive to ensure operational costs are within budgets. This role will ensure safety and quality in the operation, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing & continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production goals and deadlines.
· Deploy lean manufacturing into production, Standard work, Lean Visual Management, L ean Daily Management, SQDC controls, SMED, Daily Gemba Etc.
· Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and maintenance, to streamline processes and enhance product quality.
· Implement continuous improvement cost reduction ideas and projects aimed at improving production efficiency, reducing manufacturing costs, and enhancing product quality.
· Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
· Build, manage and lead a team of production supervisors and line workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
· Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure, accident free working environment, maintain very high 5’S standards.
· Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to enhance production capabilities.
· Collaborate with procurement and inventory management to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
· Drive the initiation and execution of projects that optimize production processes, introduce automation, and incorporate the latest industry advancements.
· Developing lean manufacturing culture & workflows improvement using lean manufacturing to drive the efficiencies of the production team.
· Prepare and present regular reports on KPI -production performance, safety, quality, delivery & cost reduction to senior management.
· Strong working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulation
Main Tasks
· Training new employees; maintaining skills matrix, monitoring & reviewing staff performance.
· Daily lean production management.
· Creating work instructions & SOP’s
· Scheduling regular TPM maintenance for equipment
· Building production schedules
· Reviewing the production schedule, organizing workflow to deliver on time and meet deadlines.
· Ensuring that production processes stay within budgets and std costs.
· Prepare and maintain production reports, KPIs.
· Implement cost control programs.
· Analyzing production performance for Safety, Quality, Delivery & cost reduction, implementing projects and corrective actions
· Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments
Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree-Business Administration, Management, Engineering or Industrial Technology Preferred or 3 years experience in manufacturing management.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Microsoft Excel & power point skills to deliver reports to management.
· Excellent time management, critical thinking & problem solving skills
· Experience in Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
· Strong problem solving & analytical skills.
· Project management skills.
· Proven record in training employees on production and safety.
· Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations
· Ability to coach, motivate, & build teams.
· Knowledge of ISO quality systems and standards
· Bilingual

SALARY RANGE:
The annual base salary range for this position is $65K - $70K. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
