Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Printer conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Printer completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Printer works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. As a Digital Printer Operator at NPC, you will operate multiple pieces of our digital print equipment including Ricoh, Canon high speed roll and sheet fed printer, Oce, and Imaging. You will ensure that internal product requirements and external customer expectations are met in producing quality digital print products. Also, it will be critical to maintain schedules and deadlines on a consistent basis. To be successful in this position, you will need to be able to communicate with others in a positive and helpful manner.
While some of these tactical tasks might be completely new to you, we provide hands-on training that equips you with all the skills you’ll need to be successful. Also, we have really great and knowledgeable people who want to help you learn!
SCHEDULE
You will work FOUR, 10-hour shifts with overtime available. Work 7AM – 5PM. Enjoy a three-day weekend every other week.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
While prior manufacturing experience would be great, it is not a requirement. The requirements are:
