Printer completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Printer conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Printer completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Printer works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. We are looking for a self motivated team player who is technically precise and has excellent organizational skills. You will be working in a fast-paced work environment that requires you to safely operate and perform daily maintenance on multiple Direct to Film Printers.
Duties will include processing orders and organizing artwork and materials for accurate and efficient printing using a combination of our web-based Order management tool and local software. Employees will have to add ink, change print film substrate, and make sure that system parts remain clean and free from obstructions.
Maintenance will be performed multiple times per day to maintain optimum print quality.
You will be responsible with maintaining precise quality control over the printed product during every step of the production process.
You may be required to finish (cut, clean, inspect and bag) the final product before shipment.
· Cut: create individual parts out of the roll substrate.
· Clean: make sure all loose material is off of the final printed product prior to shipment preperation.
· Inspect: Verify all prints are perfect with no blemishes or missing adhesive as well as make sure all orders have the correct number of parts.
· Bag: Insert final orders into individual bags with order and decoration information enclosed for final shipment preperation.
Other duties may arise as the needs dictate
