Printer completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Printer conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Printer completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Printer works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. We are an established screen printing and embroidery company in Oneonta New York and looking to add another screen printer to the team. The goal is for this person to transition to a full time role a few months after training part time
The role requires:
-Screen printing apparel, cleaning screens and retail work as clients come in (will be mostly manual printing to start).
-Experience is not required but definitely helps
-Looking for someone who is dedicated to the area long term & looking to move up in the company.
- Hours are almost always during the week hours except when we shift to summer hours . During months of training its afternoon hours then shifting to 10-6
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
