Seeking a commercial-oriented lawyer who will partner with the business to develop and recommend creative solutions and risk-mitigation strategies, policies and procedures.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Advise and counsel on matters related to data, privacy, and security rules, laws and regulations and assist in further supporting and managing privacy compliance programs, including with respect to CPRA, GDPR, TCPA, CAN-SPAM.
    • Work closely with the Company's Data Protection committee to further develop and implement comprehensive data privacy governance, policies and procedures. Develop and provide training and education to employees on data privacy best practices. Conduct privacy assessments for a broad range of initiatives and provide pragmatic advice on laws and best practices related to privacy and emerging technologies and data processing best practices. As needed, participate in the improvement of data protection and privacy program by activelyleadingor working within ateam project(e.g. for the implementation of a new privacy law in the relevant business or function assigned to you), providing feedback and/or recommending enhancements.
    • Advise business partners with respect to digital products and emerging technologies, as well as drafting and negotiating contracts in the software, technology, and digital space.
    • Draft and negotiate data processing agreements, data sharing agreements and other related legal documents and agreements
    • Lead response to potential data breaches and other privacy incidents, including coordinating with external counsel and regulatory authorities
    • Stay updated on emerging trends and developments in data privacy laws
    KNOWLEDGE:Mid-level professional with expert knowledge of data privacy and security laws. Expected to operate autonomously within area of expertise. Assignments are self-initiated, broad in nature and require excellent judgment and advanced analytical ability, evaluation, originality and ingenuity to solve. Ability to resolve a wide range of highly complex issues and assignments in efficient and effective ways. Fully accountable for work product and managing clients' matters and expectations. Serve as a resource to business TSMs in multiple divisions to resolve complex problems and issues. Serve as a resource and mentor to junior attorneys and other members of the team. Role includes creation and ownership of processes. Plays lead role in high-level projects. Exposure to senior management and may have exposure to Board of Directors. Barriers to entry may exist at this level.COMPLEXITY: Work on significant and complex issues where analysis of situations and legal factors requires a complicated, in-depth review.     The posted range for this position is $154,328 to $243,067 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to therole to fully proficient in the role.Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, priorexperience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
