VIZIO is seeking a Privacy Law Analyst to join its Privacy team. This is an amazing opportunity to join an award-winning Legal department, play a key role in supporting the company’s rapid growth, and work with experienced attorneys in the developing area of data privacy law.

• Monitor, research and interpret the various data privacy laws, regulations, contractual obligations and industry best practices relating to data privacy and our product compliance obligations.
• Partner with commercial counsel and procurement to provide privacy subject-matter support for commercial agreements and vendor management.
• Enhance the existing privacy program, policies, procedures and guidelines for data privacy and our product compliance obligations to continually improve our compliance posture.
• Produce and/or update data maps
• Vendor privacy assessment reviews
• Coordinate internal assessments to test privacy and security controls within the company.
• Work with business groups to maintain data governance documentation.
• Carry out privacy impact assessments and other product compliance assessments consistent with our privacy program and other compliance procedures and guidelines.
• Respond to consumer requests for access, correction, or deletion.
• Other duties as assigned

This is for a non-attorney analyst role that will work closely with the supervision of company attorneys.

The successful candidate will qualify under one of the following:

• (A) a Juris Doctorate degree from a U.S. accredited law school (bar passage preferred); or
• (B) at least 2 years of prior professional experience in data privacy, online advertising or marketing, regulatory compliance, or commercial or corporate transactions. 

In addition, the successful candidate will have the following qualifications.

• Demonstrated interest in developing expertise in data privacy, including holding privacy certifications (CIPP, CIPT, or CIPM certifications from IAPP preferred).
• Experience working for technology companies, in-house privacy teams, law firms, or accounting or consulting firms.
• Experience working in large-scale cross-functional programs.
• Experience with organizing, coordinating, multi-tasking, and process-improvements in a program.
• Experience with OneTrust

For California-based employment: The minimum hourly rate for this role is $32.69/hr. The maximum hourly rate for this position $41.35/hr. The compensation package includes the annual bonus in addition to a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
