Private Banking Director oversees all aspects of private banking activities that service the needs of high net-worth clients. JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinates at a high level of service the delivery of a broad range of bank products and services (Personal and Business Deposits, Personal and Business Loans/Lines of Credit, Residential Mortgage Loans, Commercial Mortgage Loans, Investments, Insurance, Cash Management, etc.) to professionals and business owners with the following characteristics: Income of $150,000 or greater; or investable assets of $250,000 or greater; or tangible net worth of $1,000,000 or greater.
LEVEL DIFFERENTIATION:
Demonstrated ability to handle the most complex financial needs or strategies of the client and has proven him/herself as a high level loan producer.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related area; or equivalent experience
* Minimum combined five years’ experience in consumer lending, commercial lending and consumer mortgage lending.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Good general knowledge of computers and software programs.
* Fundamental understanding of financial planning and wealth management concepts.
* Complete knowledge of consumer and business credit and deposits.
* Strong interpersonal, sales and relationship management skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
1. Primary point of contact (Relationship Manager) for the private banking client.
2. Solicits, develops, underwrites, documents and manages consumer, residential mortgage, business and commercial mortgage loans within a portfolio which adheres and conforms to the established lending policies of the bank in a manner that will limit losses while providing the bank maximum profitability.
3. Solicits, develops and refers financial service opportunities including Trust, CIC, CBIA, Mortgage, Financial Planning and Cash Management Services to the appropriate areas.
4. Contacts customers on a regular basis to review accounts and ensure they have the most up to date products and services.
5. Attends all closings to ensure a smooth transition for the customer and to finalize any new account openings.
6. Participates actively in the Bank’s Officer Call Program which includes making and recording business development calls, maintaining an accurate pipeline and proactively meets with existing clients and prospects to uncover potential needs.
7. Establishes and maintains an excellent working relationship with various specialists to support the needs to the client and identify new opportunities.
8. Establishes and maintains mutually beneficial business relationships with outside centers of influence such as CPAs, realtors, attorneys, board members, civic organizations and professional associations who will enhance business development efforts.
9. Keeps abreast of changing economic, legal, financial planning, investment trends impacting the private banking client. Serves as a resource for clients and centers of influence.
10. Works within the existing audit, compliance and regulatory framework in order to insure a high quality, compliant book of business.
11. Serves on various committee and task forces in the bank.
12. Maintains an active role in community and professional organizations to assist in business development.
13. Understands departmental goals and objectives and assist in the attainment of same.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
