Private Banking Director oversees all aspects of private banking activities that service the needs of high net-worth clients. Ensures that client relationships are developed and expanded and that the resources of the entire organization are properly leveraged to provide efficient and personalized service delivery. Being a Private Banking Director develops strategies and objectives that include deposit and loan volume goals and effective marketing plans. Implements operations, processes, and team development programs that enhance the achievement of private banking objectives. Additionally, Private Banking Director may act as a consultant for high-value or complex credit decisions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Private Banking Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Highly skilled personal bankers able to attract, discover, evaluate and advise high-income/high-net worth individuals that meet CNB Bank’s requirements for qualifying as private banking clients. Expertise in retail and mortgage lending, as well as retail deposit origination is essential. Building and servicing a network of targeted clients and COIs for referrals is paramount to success in Private Banking.

PROVIDE ENHANCED CLIENT SERVICE
Private Banking Officers provide an extremely high level of personal service, integrity, expertise, teamwork and follow-up. They can understand sophisticated financial situations and develop strategies to address client’s needs. As part of a team of financial professionals, Private Banking Officers refer clients to other teammates, such as Wealth & Asset, Commercial Lending, Treasury Management and Retail Banking, as well as follow up with referrals from other teammates. Has effective conversations with clients, teammates, support staff, COIs, Regional Presidents, management and other business partners, such as Realtors, settlement agents, attorneys and accountants.

Develops strategies to address client’s immediate needs while considering impact on long-term financial health. Foster relationships with clients, not transactions. Understands credit and collateral risks and makes recommendations accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual is required to perform each crucial job requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. Mortgage and Retail Banking experience is required. Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college; or five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position level will be commensurate with knowledge, experience and education.
This position operates in a professional office environment with time spent at a desk using office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers as well as travel to clients for one-on-one meetings. Noise level is moderate with constant communication and interactions. Ability to travel on occasion to all market areas and attend seminars or training sessions offsite.
