Truck Gate Security Officer

Job Overview```

• Maintain security/safety of premises
• Control/limit access to the facility at entry point.
• Screening trucks at the gate before they enter and exit the site.
• Checking driver paperwork.
• Using computer truck management programs
• Answering phones and email correspondence.
• Capable of walking to and from security guard shack to trucks
• Write detailed reports and maintain daily activity report (DARs)
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Monitor premises for irregular or unusual activity
• Enforce facility and company policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years of age
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must pass an extensive screening process
• Working knowledge of computers, Word, Access, Excel and Outlook
• Able to withstand walking and standing for long periods of time
• Able to work any shift, including, but not limited to days, nights, late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Telephone communication skills
• Customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Security officer/security clerk experience
