Job Title: RN – CVOR (Travel)

Location: Amarillo, TX 79106

Duration: 3 Month

Shift timing : Mon-Fri 0700-1530 heart/vascular call 7-10 shifts in a 4 week schedule

Hours in a week: 40 Hours (8*5)

The candidate must live 75 Miles Away.

Duties:

·Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of patient centered care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.

· Always demonstrates service excellence. Typical surgeries include cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgeries such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts, Valve replacement, Carotid Endarterectomy, Aortic Abdominal Aneurysm repair, etc are seen in the CVOR. Would consider an OR nurse with 1 year experience both scrubbing and circulating.

·Ability to maintain confidentiality

· Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.

· Asses, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of intra-operative cardiac patients.

· Assist surgeons in operative procedures with patients.

· Maintain and review patients records including posting tests and examination results

· Administer medications in accordance with physician orders

· Be able to Circulate and Scrub

Education:

· Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required.

· BSN - Highly desired

VOR Experience - 2 Years Required

· NIHSS, PALS, ACLS, BLS – Required
