    Summary:

    SUMMARY: The Private Banking Specialist 1 provides full service support to Private Banking customers and other team members within the Private Banking team. The incumbent provides a wide variety of bank products to customers with potential for multiple banking relationships. The Private Banking Specialist 1 primary focus is on providing deposit account support, however this position will also be able to provide consumer lending support to customers.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES could include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Deliver consistent exceptional customer service by displaying sincere, outgoing, and aggressive friendliness. Smiling, acknowledging every customer, introducing yourself, making eye contact, and thanking the customer are all examples.
    • Contribute in the achievement of branch sales goals by aggressively selling products to new and existing customers by identifying problems, needs, and opportunities.
    • Recognize selling opportunities and effectively cross-sell bank products and services.
    • Handle deposit account requests such as opening and closing accounts and maintenance/change. Demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedures, compliance, and applicable systems.
    • Answer questions concerning accounts, loans, statements, etc., including but not limited to assisting customers with deposit risk management and day-to-day banking business.
    • Complete customer financial profiles to support private banking qualifications have been met in accordance to policy.
    • Assist customer with the application process and close loans according to internal policies and procedures.Coordinate loan requests and process through the Centralized Loan Underwriting department or other designated department as required for the various types of loan requests.
    • At least annually, obtain the necessary documentation to support ongoing technical exceptions in the loan files.This is required in order to protect the bank’s security interests in the collateral and document the loan file as needed for outstanding loans.
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services, including digital services and delivery options. Support customer usage of products and services that will provide the services they need in the manner most convenient for them. Maintain in-depth knowledge of competitors’ products, practices, facilities, and prices in order to effectively sell bank products.
    • Participate in private banking business development program to fully service customers as needed.
    • Acknowledge customer complaints and follow policy and procedures for reporting purposes.
    • Perform duties of Teller and/or Administrative Assistant 1 as needed.Successful completion of teller school or previous teller experience will apply to perform these duties.Maintain and balance cash drawer following established guidelines.
    • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

    Responsibilities:

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
    • 1 year experience as a Loan Assistant, FSR or equivalent related experience required.
    • 3 years previous banking or customer service experience required.
    • Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.
    • Successful completion Fundamentals of Lending preferred.
    • Arvest experience preferred.
