Overview
The Job in a Nutshell:
The ideal candidate for the Manager, Digital Assets and Private Label Projects role will serve as the point person for all digital assets across the organization. From in-house photography, logos, copy and creative documents, videos and vendor assets, this role will ensure all digital assets are stored, tagged, organized and available to key business partners in and around the organization. Working cross functionally with the entire team and other departments, to keep the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system up to date and train team-members how to properly tag, upload and store files in it. This position is like a librarian for digital files. This role is highly collaborative and will work with the marketing department, purchasing, Ned, the creative/design team and all other departments. This role also serves as a manager for creative services private label creation, managing initial project launch schedules through to final asset acquisition and distribution, using both our Project Management tool (Lytho) and our DAM (MediaValet).
Responsibilities
Main Ingredients:
- Track and validate metadata, work on taxonomy and cataloging for all digital assets across the organization and moving them into our DAM (Digital Asset Management), MediaValet
- Serve as the digital assets point person for both internal and external teams as well as with our partner, MediaValet
- Work with the creative team to organize, manage and ensure all private label product launches are tracked in Lytho with statuses updated accordingly.
- Oversee, manage and organize private label project assets from inception to launch, including main line product packaging, supplement line labels, character files, etc…
- Have a deep understanding of file formats and how they relate to the needs of the end user.
- Must have a keen eye for workflows and how to organize the company’s photos, artwork and other items so they are easy to find.
- Be able to identify and implement efficiencies in project workflow and asset delivery.
- Train and create standard operating procedures with end users on how to use and best to leverage MediaValet
- Serve as advocate for both the people using the DAM and the DAM itself
- Track how people interact with files, tool, and process and communicate with management
- Track user adoption trends as well as consumer engagement external to the organization
- Review photos and photo storage with management and Executives to make sure it meets the company’s standards
- Organize all current Digital assets into MediaValet
- Manage more than just the technology but the people and process that interact with the system.
- Train crew on how the system works
- Write a technical training manual for the system
- Researching and helping implement new technologies that streamline legacy platforms processes
- Map out workflows and manage them on behalf of Natural Grocers
- Tracking and monitoring the security of files along with developing security policies to keep data safe.

Qualifications
Recipe for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 5-7 years experience managing digital assets (familiarity with MediaValet a plus) and project management skills
- Utilize project management skills and company tools (Lytho and MediaValet) to oversee and to support the creative team’s product launch initiatives across the team
- Exceptional organizational skills and well structured
- Detail oriented as a big part of this role will be organizing and categorizing digital photos
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective collaborator with the Crew Members, Executives, and other outside partners that you may work with
- The ability to prioritize, organize and implement the digital tool to be the most effective for the company
- Comfortable training new tasks and tools to other crew members
- Must have a working familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and be skilled at photo retouching. May need to do production work as need by Creative.
- Experienced with the Microsoft office suite, and project management sites like Basecamp.
- Experienced with DAM and CMS platforms, ADA, metadata taxonomy and SEO.
