Unarmed Security Officers full time for local prestigious gated community. Job requirements include shift work, patrol and gate duty, with extended periods of standing. Must have good written / verbal communication skills and basic computer knowledge and should be customer service oriented and possess the ability to deal with the public in a friendly and courteous manner. Ability to handle emergency situations.

Basic Function

Responsible for controlling entry to community, greeting residents and guests, answering phone calls, enforcing community rules and regulations and responding to emergency call dispatches all in a capable and professional manner

Responsibilities

• Control entry into community by verifying authorization of all individuals who do not posses valid barcodes or passes
• Answer calls from and make phone calls to property owners / residents authorizing guests into the property and inputting information into computer system
• Patrol streets within community in company vehicles and enforce community rules and regulations to include traffic regulations and speed limits
• Conduct physical inspections of facilities and residences from daily reports to ensure that they are secure
• Respond to alarm activations and medical emergency calls within the community
• Basic First Responder duties
• Operate basic computer programs (Microsoft Word for one example) and multi-line telephone system

• Military, Security training or state certification (helpful)
• Valid Drivers License (Required)

Experience

• Previous Security, Military, Military Security or Law Enforcement or Civilian Law Enforcement training is helpful and preferred
