Senior Technician Process Engineering-PVD
onsemi, the world leader in RF semiconductor manufacturing in Hopewell Junction, NY, is seeking a Process Engineering Technician. The individual selected for this position will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering organization with primary responsibilities focused on CVD and PVD Thin Films operations on the day shift. The Process Engineering tech works closely with Process Engineers, maintenance techs, and manufacturing operators to run the fab, resolving equipment and process issues as well as helping make improvements to our process. Technician positions are shift positions working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts.
Essential Responsibilities Include:
- Monitor, control, and qualify state-of-the-art 300mm semiconductor equipment
- React to tool alarms within assigned areas of responsibilities and disposition wafers involved in alarms using defined procedures
- Review Statistical Process Control charts for process quality and react to Out-of-Control conditions including defect troubleshooting
- Perform visual inspections (quality check)
- Recover from process and tool interruptions
- Use standard software applications (MS Office, Google Apps, Agile PLM, Xsite, WSPC)
- Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost
- Complete all required reporting and documentation
- Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
