Max Process Equipment is a well-established industry leader in the design and manufacture of polyurethane processing equipment. We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to be trained to support our machine build process. Normal shift hours are M-F 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., however some shift flexibility may be required from time to time.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Performing all phases of mechanical assembly including but not limited to product assembly, tube bending, pipe fitting, plumbing and testing from prints, schematics, diagrams and/or verbal instruction
• Working with a variety of mechanical systems including but not limited to pumping, metering, heating and cooling
• Construction of material lines with tracing and filter systems
• Brazing stainless-steel tubing
• Troubleshooting basic mechanical issues - diagnosing mechanical issues and developing effective solutions
• Ensuring product specifications and tolerance levels are met
• Metrology of manufactured and purchased components
• Calibration of test equipment
• Keeping tools, equipment and work area maintained and organized
• Reviewing and redlining drawings/schematics as necessary
• Helping crate machines and equipment
• Performing other related duties as assigned
• Adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times

Skills/Experience:

• Proven safety record
• Attention to detail and quality
• Accurate measurement and math skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read prints, schematics and diagrams
• Correct use of hand and power tools
• Brazing and Tig welding highly desired
• Some electrical knowledge a plus, but not required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience
• Handle up to 50 pounds and have the physical dexterity to assemble large components
• Spotless attendance and punctuality record
• Highly productive work ethic
• Strong attention to detail

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
