    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Help manage the capital process for the Bakersfield Engineering Team. Write Capital Asset Request (CARs) and submit for approval. 
    • Manage Pactiv-Evergreen Construction Work in Progress (CWIP) process to track and maintain projects.  Manage funding, scheduling of projects and provide final closeouts.
    • Procurement duties include writing requisitions and providing resolutions to customer payment issues.
    • Assist production leadership with work orders and process controls.
    • Update requisition and engineering databases when necessary.
    • Maintain all engineering records up to date where necessary.
    • Aid engineering, maintenance, and training personnel.
    • Assist with all documentation on Pactiv Evergreen engineering and production programs.
    • Work safely and ensure all projects are carried out in a safe manner.
    • Perform preventative and planned maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the FOAM, MFPP and EPS process to ensure the integrity of Production equipment.
    • Ability to understand and interpret electrical and mechanical prints, drawings and

           schematics and execute and complete maintenance service instructions.

    • Assist with Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and/or development of Maintenance

           procedures (SOP’s)

    • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair/maintain all extrusion, thermoforming,

            Injection Molding and auxiliary equipment.

    • Maintain housekeeping in areas of assigned responsibility to ensure a safe, clean

           and neat work environment.

    • Follow company safety procedures and policies.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications: 

    • Must be self-starter and must demonstrate the initiative to manage projects and solve problems. Able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Demonstrate ability to work smoothly with various organizational levels and ability to convey knowledge.
    • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels within the organization.
    • Ability to train and coach at all levels of the organization.
    • Highly organized, problem solver, able to handle multiple tasks and strong sense of urgency.
    • Computer literate in SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc Or, show the initiative to become proficient.

    Education:

    • BS/BA in Industrial Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business equivalent knowledge & experience. 
    • 5 years of manufacturing experience.
    • 2 years of supervisory experience or equivalent experience.
    • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of statistical methods and process

             improvement techniques.

    • Must demonstrate proficient computer skills with AutoCAD, Maintenance software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Effective team building and demonstrated leadership skills.
    • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels in the organization.

     

    For individuals hired to work in New York, Pactiv Evergreen is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The compensation range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is Minimum: $92,7000/yr. - Maximum $154,500.00/yr.
