Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Provides engineering assistance, direction and development assistance to colleagues Solves technical problems related to projects and troubleshoots and updates report data for business unit(s) Upgrades, designs, configures, maintains and monitors related equipment and performance Analyzes related components and systems, processes and methods, and refinery processes and economics Develops project scopes, budgets and AFE's for approval and ensures projects meet budget as well as refineryand OSHA standards Ensures the maintenance and integrity of business unit(s) data Optimizes business unit(s) and analyzes data to aid operations with decisions
