Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Process Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.     Responsibilities:
      • Evaluate, synthesize, and interrelate information from internal and external sources when solving problems and making decisions
      • Make decisions based on analysis, experience, and good judgment; solve difficult problems with effective solutions; ask questions and probe diverse sources for answers
      • Accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; organize work into logical process steps; use time effectively; establish priorities
      • Involve relevant others in shaping plans and making decisions; participate in group efforts and encourage others' participation; listen to co-workers' concerns and provide assistance as appropriate
      • Evaluate the risk/reward priority of improvement opportunities
      • Develop, document, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes using appropriate data and tools
      • Root cause analysis and corrective action
      • Work Environment/Physical Demands: 70% of time will be in the manufacturing production area
      • Strong project management capabilities


    Who are we looking for?

    Qualifications:

    Required:
      • 4-year degree in Engineering
      • 4 years of manufacturing experience
      • Experience in process driven, continuous operations
      • Experience leading high performance work teams
      • Experience with process control and new product introduction technologies
      • Proven project management skills
      • Strong record of Lean Sigma Tools implementation

    Preferred:
      • Wire and cable experience highly desirable
