Description

Shick Esteve is looking for a Quoting Specialist with Process Engineering experience to join our team in Kansas City, MO. The Process Sales Engineer will play a proactive role in supporting the Sales team in proposal creation, Process Flow development, pumping sizing, valve selection, skid fabrication costing, and proposal development.

Work You’ll Do

• Responsible for conducting pump hydraulic calculations.
• Tasked with the development of process flow using AutoCAD.
• In charge of creating equipment layout drawings utilizing AutoCAD.
• Expected to develop Excel piping and equipment.
• Required to perform web-based estimating.
• Responsible for handling vendor RFQs.

Basic Qualifications

• College degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years exposure to mechanical and/or chemical process engineering.
• Extensive Excel, AutoCAD, and pump hydraulic calculation knowledge.
• Ability to read process flow diagrams, P&ID’s, and plant layout drawings.
• Must have experience estimating projects based on RFQs, tenders, and verbal communication; able to define scope and draw on required resources to determine best pricing.
• Ability to discuss technical information generically to a wide variety of personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of process field experience is preferred.
• Experience with food and beverage and/or processing plants preferred.
