What you will enjoy doing*

• In this role you will assume responsibility for a group that provides mechanical designs for high precision rotating equipment, namely centrifugal compression and cryogenic expansion equipment
• Evaluate competitive rotating equipment concepts based on strategic and project specific requirements (cost, sizing, operation flexibility, reliability, availability, etc.)
• Provide risk assessments and mitigation strategies at all stages of proposal, design, installation, testing and operation
• Closely collaborate with other Linde Engineering departments and Linde plc subsidiaries
• In addition you will plan the technical direction and further development of the department. Therefore, identify R&D programs and provide and drive technical innovation including their conversion to market readiness
• Document expertise in the form of work instructions, design guidelines and other work bases for compressors and turbines, by taking the state-of-the-art as well as the economy and competitiveness into consideration
• Foster an environment of health, safety, and environmental protection (HSE) in your sphere

What makes you great

• You will have 10-15 years of professional experience in an engineering and manufacturing operation, preferably in an international environment
• Additionally you will have a Bachelor’s degree, with an advanced degree preferred, in Mechanical Engineering or a suitable Engineering field
• Entrepreneurial spirit and thinking, as well as drive to perform and add value
• Engaging, motivating, and empowering leader who takes ownership for developing their employees
• Effective communicator and presenter at all levels, supplemented by cross-cultural and conflict resolution competencies
• Willingness to travel to build customer relations and negotiate projects
