Process Engineering Director directs and develops a team responsible for the optimization, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, or plants. Drives continuous improvement in process design, cost savings, quality, and resource utilization. Being a Process Engineering Director leads engineering projects, incorporates newest technologies, resolves engineering problems, approves process designs. Requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Additionally, Process Engineering Director typically reports to top management. The Process Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Job Scope:
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education: Associate’s degree in Mechatronics related field and/or or 3 to 5 years relevant experience; or an appropriate combination of education (Associates) with technical experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Physics or Polymer Engineering desirable.
Experience: Demonstrated experience in cabling, extrusion processes, general mechanical aptitude and an understanding of materials properties
Licensure, Certification and/or Registration:
Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective communication skills, both oral and written; attention to detail and organization; strong computer skills

Working Conditions:
Job duties requires engineering work, ambulation in office, testing laboratory, manufacturing plant, customer facility, and on-site installation working environments. This is partially sedentary job which requires sight sufficient for significant computer use and reading. Also normal work responsibilities call for nominal levels of physically demanding efforts characterized by walking and standing some of the day and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds. This work also requires an individual with hearing sufficient for dealing with external agencies/vendors, interacting with employees, conducting meetings, as well as for significant telephone contact. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
