Manages all engineering projects and resolves engineering problems. Additionally, Process Engineering Manager requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Description

    ProSidian Seeks a Mechanical Process Engineer II - Engineering (DS113) headquartered near Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina to support requirements for Environmental Management Sector Clients. 

    This Procurement Services / Building 707-9B Rm11 / Aiken, SC 29857 | MID LEVEL - HR position currently best aligns with the Mechanical Process Engineer II Labor Category. Ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive “Jugaad” and dialogue targeting mission success.  ProSidian Team Members work to provide provide BOA Support Services for multiple department requirement Service Areas (SA) for Savannah River Remediation LLC (The SRMC/LW Contractor) at the U.S. Department of Energy | Savannah River Site (DOE-SRS) in Aiken, SC to support the evolving needs of the organization.

    Mechanical Process Engineer II - Engineering (DS113) Candidates shall work to support requirements for BOA Price RFQ202212 Mechanical Process Engineer DS113 Rev1 (Engineering Services) and Provide engineering support services on assigned SRR Engineering Teams. Engineering support services include engineering analysis, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to:

    • Process Flow Diagrams; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions
    • Mechanical Equipment Lists; Mechanical Equipment Sizing/Calculations; Piping and Valve Specifications
    • ASME B&PVC Design and Evaluation including Pressure Protection Design; Material Handling Equipment
    • Mechanical Procurement Requirements/Specifications/Data Sheets including Vendor Document Reviews.
    • Individual at times will be required to travel off Site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.  Engineering Services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures.  Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:

    BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. 

    Work Hours:

    A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B).

    Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

    Area Security Access:

    A security clearance is not required

    Experience/Skills:

    Candidate must demonstrate five (5) years design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of ASME  B31.3 code requirements. Candidate demonstrating experience in 2D MicroStation Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is preferred. Candidate must have the ability to walk down systems in the field
