    Job Description:


    As a Project Manager for the Hunter Communications Engineering team, you’ll work closely with our engineers, construction teams, service delivery coordinators, and other internal and external stakeholders to manage fiber optic construction projects, solve problems, and help drive the rapid buildout of our top-tier fiber optic network.


    The schedule for this full-time, salaried position is 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday, with overtime as required to meet project deadlines. This job qualifies for a remote or hybrid working arrangement, but a remote worker must be working and contactable during daytime business hours in the Pacific Standard Time zone.


    To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience in telecommunications project management, with an emphasis on FTTx and multi-tenant deployment projects.


    Job Responsibilities:


    Your duties as an Project Manager will involve a variety of responsibilities and tasks, but the essential functions of your role will require:

    • Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee all phases of multiple telecommunications projects, from inception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
    • Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams to facilitate seamless project execution.
    • Project Planning and Budgeting: Develop detailed project plans, monitor financials, update internal tracking systems, and provide regular updates on progress and budget status.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison for all project stakeholders, maintaining regular and effective communications.
    • Status Meetings and Reporting: Lead regular meetings to discuss project status, address issues, and adjust plans to maintain project timelines and budgets.
    • Documentation and Close-Out: Ensure comprehensive project documentation is maintained and distribute close-out materials to relevant parties promptly.
    • Issue Resolution and Adaptation: Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve challenges and adapt to unforeseen project obstacles and changes.
    • Continuous Improvement and Learning: Engage with and lead improvement initiatives, embrace new technologies and methodologies, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
    • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks to project timelines, budgets, and quality. 
    • Compliance and Standards Adherence: Ensure project activities comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
    • Vendor and Contract Management: Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and oversee contractual compliance and performance.
    • Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet required standards and specifications.

    • Financial Management: Understanding of budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource management.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements pertinent to telecommunications projects.
    • Technical Documentation Analysis: Competence in interpreting land surveys, construction plans, splicing schematics, and as-built drawings.
    • Digital Literacy: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workplace, Google Earth, and GIS platforms.
    • Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Openness to new technologies and methodologies, with a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
