Primary Purpose of Job

Guides the overall strategic direction of HR business processes.  Collaborates with key stakeholders to understand and evaluate current policies, procedures, and workflows.  Analyzes processes/programs to recommend and implement process improvement and innovation as it relates to HR strategic initiatives.

Major Job Accountabilities

• Partners with key stakeholders to understand current HR-related policies, procedures, and processes.  Analyzes areas for process improvement opportunities, develops a roadmap for implementation, and communicates findings, recommendations, and status updates.
• Recommends and implements new HR programs and initiatives.  Develops KPIs to measure the effectiveness of process changes and initiatives. 
• Functions as change leader in support of the organization’s initiatives
• Supports HR team on projects through disciplined project management and coordination of task, milestones, deadlines etc.
• Regularly monitors and updates the HR intranet page.  Makes recommendations for new or improved content and works to enhance its usability to Bank teammates.
• Consults with HR teammates and others to update the documentation of departmental workflows.  Develops and updates process maps that depict decision points, along with how and where information is stored.  Analyzes and identifies areas for increased efficiency.  Performs cost-benefit analysis of proposed changes. 
• Leverages technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze enterprise-wide employee and other cross-functional data as needed.
• Assists in gathering data and materials to ensure compliance with ASB policy and regulations and that required reporting and filings are delivered.

Experience Required

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the following:

• Progressive experience in Human Resources in multiple disciplines (ex: payroll, benefits, recruiting, compliance, performance management).
• Project management, implementation management, and/or process improvement is a plus.

Required Skills or Training

• Proven team-engagement skills, including the ability to lead a diverse cross-section of subject matter experts to deliver desired output.
• Proven ability to understand data and its use in identifying issues and developing metrics.
• Possesses and demonstrates critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates effective written, verbal, and facilitation skills, with an ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences.  
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with HR Information Systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
• Possesses outstanding organizational and record-keeping skills.

Professional Certifications, Licenses, And/or Registration Requirements

•  HR Certification (ex: PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
