Process Engineering Technician jobs in Johnstown, PA
Process Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers to ensure production goals of the organization are met. Provides assistance related to the review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment, processes, and plants. Being a Process Engineering Technician may suggest or implement equipment purchases, modifications or calibration changes that could result in improved productivity or reduced costs related to production. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Process Engineering Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Process Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Able to identify and implement solutations for roort causes and corrective actions.
Document and update processes
Work with multiple departments to correct issues resulting in downtime or scrap
Set and ensure correct cycle times
Process development work for samples
Teach and assist other technicians in torubleshooting
Track, document, and correct quality defects
Work on stable ops program to identify and improve efficiency throughout the molding department
Work with QC on mold qualifications and quality rejects
Qualifications
Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Skills
In depth understanding of the injection molding process
Understanding of Six Sigma Principles
Mast Molding 1 Certification Preferred
